Jay Sefton [he/him] (Playwright/Performer) is an actor and licensed mental health counselor, originally from Philadelphia, and currently based in Easthampton, Massachusetts. Selected theatre credits include: Unreconciled (Writer/Performer, Chester Theatre Company), What the Constitution Means to Me (WAM Theatre/Berkshire Theatre Group and Capital Rep, Albany), Honor Killing, Paradise (WAM Theatre, Fresh Takes Reading Series), A Moon for the Misbegotten, The Lady Slipper, Million Dollar Quartet, Outside Mullingar (The Majestic Theater), Two Rooms (Silverthorne Theatre Company), The Most Mediocre Story Never Told (Writer/Performer), A Life in the Theatre, Dark Rapture (Wellfleet Harbor Actors Theatre), King Lear (Theatricum Botanicum, Los Angeles). Film/TV: The Wire, Grey’s Anatomy, The Shield, Summerland, Providence. He is a member of Actors’ Equity and SAG-AFTRA. Jay is the recipient of the LA WEEKLY Award for Best Solo Performance for The Most Mediocre Story Never Told, and the winner of the Berkshire Theatre Critics Association Award for Outstanding Solo Performance for Unreconciled, which also won Outstanding World Premiere of a New Play in 2024. He is the Executive Director of The Unreconciled Project and was honored by SNAP (Survivors Network of those Abused by Priests) for his work with survivors in Pennsylvania, and by CHILD USA with the Sean P. McIlmail Hero Award in 2025.
Mark Basquill [he/him] (Playwright) was raised in South Philadelphia and practices clinical psychology in Wilmington, NC, where he helps veterans recover from the wounds of war, often using writing to promote healing. Recent essays, stories, and poems can be found in Cirque: A Literary Journal for the North Pacific Rim; Consequence Forum; and Snapdragon: A Journal of Art and Healing. Mark has also written two full-length dramas about his own family’s unfinished struggles to heal from impact of childhood clergy abuse. Each play was produced locally and well-received.
Melenie Freedom Flynn [she/her] (Stage Manager) is a writer and theatre artist. A graduate of the MFA Acting Program at California Institute of the Arts, she has performed in theatres across the United States. She is the recipient of the 2025 Edith Wharton/Straw Dog Writing Residency at the Mount in Lenox, Massachusetts. Her writing has been supported by fellowships from MacDowell, the Elizabeth George Foundation, Massachusetts Cultural Council, and others. Melenie’s essay “Message from Your Inmate” won the annual nonfiction contest at Vela Magazine and her recent work can be seen in In a Flash. Claire Durr [she/her] (Associate Producer) is a stage manager based in Pittsburgh, PA. Previous local credits include Misery, Is God Is, The Sound Inside, American Buffalo, The Animal Kingdom, Crocodile Fever, Unreconciled, and The Shark is Broken (Stage Manager, barebones productions), Raisin in the Sun (ASM, Pittsburgh Public Theater), and Rhinegold, Fight For The Right, and Goldilocks (ASM, Pittsburgh Festival Opera). Other credits include PA work on the film Basic Psych and house management for the Rosemary Branch Theater in London. Claire graduated in 2019 with a BA in Theatrical Design and Production from Elon University.
